- Looking at the percentage of income needed to rent a median-priced home today (30%), vs. the percentage needed to buy a median-priced home (15%), the choice becomes obvious.
- Every market is different. Before you renew your lease again, find out if you could use your housing costs to own a home of your own!

Renting vs Buying
Renting vs. Owning a Home: What’s the Difference?
Whether to rent or to buy the place in which you live is a major decision. It doesn’t just affect how much money you have left at the end of the month, it also affects your lifestyle and the size of the savings you accumulate over the years. Every day, people buy homes when financially they’d be better off renting…
Should You Rent or Buy a House?
The market is hot. Your friends are buying homes. And you’re wondering if you should stop renting and buy a house too. Your dog wants a yard, your kids want a playground, and you wouldn’t mind a garage and an office.
There’s only one problem: You aren’t sure you can afford it.
